Principle and features of color scintillator of fluoroscopic inspection system with Color I.I.™

  • Equipped with a color scintillator*1 that emits light in the three colors, red, green and blue.
  • Setting the light emission ratio of red, green and blue to 6, 1 and 0.1 achieves significant expansion of dynamic range (100 times as wide a range as that of our existing products)
  • Possible to detect defects and foreign materials that are difficult to find by existing inspection methods, and to inspect the thickness of large-diameter pipes with heat insulation.

Fluoroscopic inspection system with Color I.I.™

*1  Paint that emits light in the three primary colors, red, green and blue according to X-ray/γ-ray transmission amount. Changing the ratio of emissions according to X-ray/γ-ray transmission amount allows for taking multiple images of materials with different transmission amount such as liquid and metal at the same time, and displaying their color images according to transmission amount on a TV monitor.
